Bought to fit an LX3. I wanted a 2xAA flash with enough power to bounce off low ceilings and this is exactly perfect. The LX3 controls the output (TTL). I've always had good quality from Metz, and you used to pay over the odds for it. The 24AF-1 is lighter than it looks (i.e. feels a trifle flimsy), but the Panasonic equivalent costs over twice as much and doesn't do bounce, and bounce flash is the only way to go indoors, making this Metz well worth the price.
